Herewith a suggestion that another word be added to the puns of irony lexicon along with foster siblings "transparency" and "oversight".
In similar fashion to how the former can stand for the unintentional presence of obvious malfeasance right along side the notion of official openness to scrutiny, and the latter functions as a matter of trust that those responsible for it will not be held to account when it turns out to mean they hadn't seen something coming, I propose that "sustainability" connote acting in whatever way necessary to make sure that when another transparent swan arrives to join the one that inspired the sustainability project, it'll be too late even for scapegoats.
